Gyula Gabora (first violin)

I was born on 4th March 1978 in Budapest.

I started playing the violin at the age of 4. I was admitted to the class of special talents at the Franz Liszt Music Academy of Budapest at the age of 13. My professor was Miklos Szenthelyi and I was studying for a year with Professor Boris Kuschnir in Vienna in 1998.

I played at the International Paganini Competition in Genova /Italy/ in 1999 where I won a scholarship to Professor Eduard Schmieder's course in Dallas /USA/.

I graduated at the Franz List Music Academy of Budapest in 2005.

I have been a member of the Hungarian Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra since 1995 and I have been playing at the Chamber Orchestra of Europe since 2003.

I got the job of the concertmaster's of the MÁV Symphony Orchestra in Budapest in 2006.
